An especially loved
day trip is a boat trip from Niederheimbach to
Assmannshausen. From there to the Niederwald on the Rhine altitude with cable car, about a
2 km walk to the Niederwald monument with a view in the Rheingau, to Rheinhessen and down
on Rudesheim on the Rhine. Either descent to Rudesheim through the vineyards or ride with
the cable car down to Rudesheim. In Rudesheim the visit from Siegfrieds mechanical Music
cabinet about 300 m on the right is recommended in order to walk through the world
famous Drosselgasse to the Rhine and ride back to Niederheimbach with the ship. Or ride
with the passanger ferry to Bingen on the Rhine over and ride back to Niederheimbach with
the train. |
